Washington, DCWith the state of Virginia under massive scrutiny following reports that a high school in Fairfax trafficked multiple girls out of state for secret abortions, members of Congress have introduced a federal bill to make it illegal nationwide.

Congressman David Taylor has introduced the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act in the House and Rep. Bob Onder (MO-03), and Rep. Mark Harris (NC-08) are key co-sponsors.

The bill protects children and upholds parental rights by prohibiting the transportation of minors across state lines to receive an abortion without following the parental notification laws in the minor’s resident state. …
