A guilty conscience needs no accuser.
The mosque reportedly attended by the suspect in Wednesday’s New Orleans terrorist attack is instructing its members not to speak with either the FBI or media.
“I’m sure many of you have heard about the tragic events that took place in New Orleans this morning that are now being classified as an ‘act of terror’ by the FBI,” wrote the manager for Houston’s local Masjid Bilal in an “IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT” posted to social media.
The terrorist attack, described as much by the mosque in quotations, left 15 victims dead and dozens more injured on New Year’s Day, after a man sporting an ISIS flag rammed his pickup truck into a crowd of celebrators on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.
The 42-year-old suspect, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, lived in a mostly-Muslim trailer park located within walking distance of Masjid Bilal, according to the New York Post. …
