Number of Independent Abortion Clinic Closures More than Doubles in 2022, by Craig Bannister

Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June, the number of abortion clinics closing has increased, to the point that 2022 closures have more than doubled, compared to 2021.

Through the first 11 months of this year, 42 independent clinics (which comprise 55% of the nation’s abortion clinics) have shut their doors, up from 20 in full-year 2021, according to an abortion association named the Abortion Care Network (ACN). …
