Here’s one to make your weekend taste bad: New York City is launching a $53 million – MILLION – dollar plan to give illegal aliens pre-paid credit cards.

No kidding.

According to the New York Post, the multi-million-dollar, taxpayer-backed project will be similar to the city’s program offering food assistance to low-income residents, and will start with 500 illegal alien families currently staying at the Roosevelt Hotel. The amount handed out per family will depend on their size, but a family of four could get as much as $1,000 a month, the Post reports. The cards will be refilled every 28 days.

Recipients have to sign a letter promising to only use the funds at supermarkets and grocery stores to buy food and baby supplies or risk getting kicked out of the program.

If all goes well – i.e., angry New Yorkers don’t burn down the city council building or something – the program will be rolled out to include every migrant, of which there are currently tens of thousands in NYC. ….
