A pro-life organization is hosting its annual gala tonight and it’s the guest speaker who is making news.

I am the pro-life generation

Susan B. Anthony List is holding its annual Campaign for Life Gala tonight, May 22, in which President Donald Trump is set to deliver the keynote address.

“It’s the first-time a sitting president has ever addressed our organization and I’m sure it’s going to be a historic speech,” says Mallory Quigley, vice president of communications at SBA List.

Much like Evangelicals embracing the former real estate playboy, pro-lifers have witnessed the formerly pro-abortion Trump stand behind his campaign promises during his current administration.

Trump speaking before Congress (Jan 2017)Since the President took office in January 2017, SBA List says Trump has continued to deliver on his promise to serve as a pro-life president. That includes the announcement last Friday that the Trump administration will propose new rules to the Title X family planning program that that would direct taxpayer funding away from the abortion industry

“It’s a huge win for the pro-life movement, for women’s health, for unborn children, that the president is going to issue these new regulations to stop abortion businesses from receiving Title X family planning funding,” says Quigley. “Abortion is not family planning.”

Other scheduled speakers tonight include White House advisor Kellyanne Conway and House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-Louisiana).

Businesswoman Kathy Ireland will serve as emcee.
