Several well-known national organizations are working together to prepare for a past-Roe future that will mean a fight for life in state legislatures.

Students for Life, Live Action, The Heritage Foundation, and Alliance Defending Freedom are working together to plan a 2020 conference the day after the annual March for Life, which is January 24.

Kristi Hamrick of Students for Life says the purpose is to prepare for a landmark decision.

“We know that Rove v Wade is going to fall,” she tells OneNewsNow. “We know that the day after Roe we’re going to need to be ready with policy, with programs that are going to help women and children.”

Hamrick points out that if the Supreme Court overturns Roe, it will not mean the end of legal abortion in the United States but return the issue to the states.

“That’s why we need to be ready,” she says.

What will come next, she predicts, are legal, political, and cultural debates that will be addressed at the January conference. ….
