We begin by differing with those who say Monday night’s raid at Mar-a-Lago is proof we now live in a “banana republic.” No, friends, we are in a bananas republic. A bananas republic has all the despotism and criminality of a banana republic, but with a heavy dose of insanity.

What happened Monday night was insane. Even disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo hints that it was nutty move.

The Trump Raid and the First Law of Snake News

What’s the First Law of Snake News? “Whatever has the media hyperventilating over Trump will be proven false, usually within 24 hours.” So it is with the Mar-a-Lago raid, with the FBI storming the former president’s home looking for “classified” documents he took with him from the White House. Or documents which the newly-politicized National Archives says are classified. (Remember, under Biden, the National Archives thinks the Declaration, Constitution and other founding documents contain “harmful content.”) ….
