Mike HuckabeeIn a 3-2 decision, the South Carolina Supreme Court struck down the new state law banning abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected, ruling it an unconstitutional violation of a woman’s right to privacy. South Carolina law currently bans abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

Attorney General Alan Wilson said, “We respectfully, but strongly, disagree with the court’s ruling,” and that he was working with Gov. Henry McMaster’s office to review legal options moving forward.
