The transgender industry pretends to be concerned about resolving the mental distress of people with gender identity disorder. In fact, it’s a psychiatric and medical scam, detransitioner Walt Heyer tells Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse.

Back in 1981, Heyer’s doctor lobbied to get gender dysphoria into the psychiatric reference guide, the DSM — not because it would help the patients, but because it would make it easier to sell wrong-sex hormones and genital surgeries.

In subsequent decades, a full-blown industry emerged — raking in billions every year, blighting lives, and sterilizing children. The doctors involved made millions, and many of the patients walked away with loads of questions and mountains of regret. Heyer has dedicated his life to helping patients who have been betrayed by the system.
