“Globally, trafficking is a $150 billion industry,” according to Heritage Foundation scholar Emma Waters. “This is a massive problem that besets every country in the world, but particularly the United States. In recent years the U.S. has become a top destination spot where many of the victims of sex trafficking are either taken from or brought to the U.S.”
