Pro-life Vice President Mike Pence recently spoke at the 2018 National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) convention in Nashville at a meeting of the Susan B. Anthony List and Life Issues Institute. Pence told those at the latter gathering there has been more progress for the cause of life during the first year of the Trump administration than that of any prior president. But he added there is more work to be done.
“The truth of the matter is that the other side, the other party continues to go further and further to the left, even while Americans, especially younger Americans, are choosing and embracing the sanctity of life more and more every day,” he told those at the luncheon. “We have to be their voice.”
He also encouraged pro-life organizations and religious broadcasters to continue to fight for the cause of life on every platform they have opportunity to address.
“The work is essential, the work is timely, and I truly do believe if all of us do all that we can, that we will once again in our time restore the sanctity of life to the center of American law,” he declared.
That would mean overturning Roe vs Wade, the U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized terminating preborn babies, meaning the campaign to end legal abortion would then be decided by each state.
