Many Catholics today are unaware of his writings on the subject.

Explosive — that is the first word that comes to mind when describing the following previously unpublished essay on Freemasonry and the Jews written by the now-famous Polish Catholic friar Fr. Maximillian Kolbe (1894–1941). 1

Many Catholics today are not familiar with Fr. Kolbe’s writings on Judaism. However, prominent public figures such as Fr. James Mawdsley have drawn attention to what he taught on the subject. Fr. Mawdsley’s plea is no different than our own: namely, to promote the full range and historical context of his life and writings. Catholics who obfuscate or, worse, distort Fr. Kolbe’s political and religious views because they are inconvenient for contemporary Jewish-Catholic relations only diminish his memory. …
