AOC’s Hope: ‘Rein In’ the Press, Squash the Dissenters, by Steve Jordahl

A left-leaning New York congresswoman says she and her Democratic colleagues are considering establishing a federal commission that would be tasked with regulating what the media can and can’t say.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (pictured) was live-streaming one of her kitchen-table video blogs on Tuesday when she was asked about the role media that reported on the apparent stealing of the 2020 election played in the Capitol riots. Freedom of the press definitely needs to be “reined in,” replied the leader of “The Squad”:

Ocasio-Cortez: “There’s absolutely a commission that’s being discussed but it seems to be more investigatory in style rather than truth and reconciliation. So, I think that’s an interesting concept for us to explore ….
