St. Joseph, Icon of Fatherhood, by Steven Thomas

By Steven Thomas, Catholic Exchange - I would like to propose a new title for St. Joseph in his Litany: “Icon of Fatherhood.”  Allow me to explain why this title, and why now... Our world is in the midst of a great turning.  An unseen battle rages, and the speed of degradation visible all around us has increased exponentially... I would posit the breakdown of fatherhood goes hand in hand with the breakdown of society.  Sociological data affirms the importance of fathers on family dynamics and what happens when they are missing. Fr. Shenan J. Boquet: Family First: Pope Leo XIV’s Mission

By Fr. Shenan J. Boquet, Human Life International - Although Pope Leo XIV looked slightly nervous when he first walked out on the Loggia after his election, he seems to have made the transition to pontiff with remarkable grace. 14 Contrasts Between Biblical and Toxic Masculinity, by Joseph Mattera

By Joseph Mattera, The Stream - We live in a cultural moment where confusion around masculinity is reaching a boiling point. As society reacts to decades of emasculation and passive male archetypes, many young men are being swept up by a pendulum swing in the opposite direction — toward a hyper-aggressive, self-exalting, and dehumanizing form of manhood... But the Word of God offers a vastly different — and far more glorious — vision for manhood. There are distinct ways God calls men to reflect His image, not through domination but through service, not by controlling others but by cultivating them.
