Vatican (kath.net) The term “New World Order” is interpreted as a metaphor for a conspiracy theory. But it only describes a concept of society, which – like any other – has to face the intellectual discourse. The fall of communism in 1989/90 marked the end of an historical process which the American sociologist Francis Fukuyama has called the end of history. In his view, communism as the antithesis of democracy had become obsolete, so that a new social foundation needed to be conceived.  …
