Dear Bishops:

We’re tired! 

We’re tired… of going to Mass each Sunday yearning for the Word of God, and returning home emptier than we left.

We’re tired… of hearing you preach about the need for a Eucharistic Renewal, and yet you can’t agree amongst yourselves that giving Holy Communion to openly pro-abortion politicians is a sin.

We’re tired… of watching liturgical abuses go unpunished and less than inspiring Masses become the norm.

We’re tired… of looking to you for direction and clarity in the wake of Fiducia Supplicans only to be told, condescendingly, that the only problem with the document is that we didn’t read it correctly.

We’re tired… of responding to your incessant requests for money only to learn that our hard-earned dollars often go to fuel corruption and scandal at all levels of the Church.

We’re tired… of being told that we have to pay licensing fees to YOU before we can print the Word of God in our parish bulletins.

We’re tired… of seeing the hierarchy become more tolerant of Woke ideologies, even as it chastises faithful Catholics for being too rigid and lacking in charity.

We’re tired… of being told that our main concern in reading the Lord’s Passion during Holy Week should be to avoid sounding anti-Semitic, rather than reflecting on our own sinfulness.

We’re tired… of seeing the Church be more welcoming towards members of other religions than towards those of us who love and cherish our Catholic Faith.

We’re tired… of being told that the never-changing Catholic Faith that was passed on to us is nothing but the “dead faith of the living”.

 We’re tired… of seeing the Church’s disproportionate obsession with social issues and the health of the Planet, even as it neglects the health of our souls.

We’re tired… of belonging to a Church that is more concerned with adapting to the world than transforming it.

We’re tired… of hearing the deafening silence of those of you who lack the courage to shepherd the flock during this unfolding tragedy.

We’re tired… of expressing all these concerns to our pastors and bishops only to be laughed at, or be dismissed as ignorant, or fanatics, or fools.

We’re just really, really tired!
