York Revolution, a minor league baseball team in Pennsylvania, canceled its 11th annual “Pride Night” game scheduled for June 18 after several players refused to wear uniforms featuring a rainbow design.

The organization announced the cancellation June 17 in an official statement, saying that the decision to cancel the game was “not reached lightly.”

“Unfortunately,” the statement read, “several of our players have refused to wear the scheduled Pride Night jersey and the club decided that hosting the event is more important than forcing players to wear jerseys they are not comfortable with and playing the game.” …
