You might not have heard about it, but the Trump administration recently issued an historic policy paper on U.S. strategy toward the world, but especially a European Union where most of the countries are technically our allies, allegedly pledged to the same values. On paper, that is. But with Britain arresting dozens of citizens each day for social media posts, when they complain about the mass importation of Third World “refugees” at public expense, and France and Germany trying to outlaw opposition parties, while Muslim mobs shut down Christmas markets and the EU threatens massive fines if Elon Musk won’t censor X … you really have to wonder. Are we on the same page as Europe?

Should we ask our young people to fight to defend this collection of increasingly autocratic, anti-Christian regimes, in case they provoke a Russian attack by meddling even more aggressively in Ukraine? Or should the U.S. step back, unchain itself from those dying regimes until they wake up to their people’s needs? Those are questions posed by a brilliant new strategy statement issued by the White House, “National Security Strategy of the United States of America.” Go read it here — it’s worth your time, if only to see one of the rare occasions in recent years when American policy was based in concrete reality and our core values, rather than ideology and fantasy. …
