In a tweet sent out on April 3, the Catholic bishop for the Diocese of Providence, R.I., Rev. Thomas J. Tobin, said that no one has “the right” to take the life of an unborn child and that we need a “#metoo movement for unborn children.”
The #metoo movement grew out of the myriad sexual harrassment and abuse claims in Hollywood, and it is dedicated “to support survivors and end sexual violence.”
In his tweet, Bishop Tobin said, “We hear about ‘reproductive rights’ or ‘right to choose.’ There is no ‘right’ to end the life of an unborn child.”
“We need a #metoo movement for unborn children,” he said.
The bishop continued, “Abortion: Capital punishment for babies, and exploitation of vulnerable women. Wrong, just wrong!”
