The DNC’s opening night contained an element of comic relief.

The opening night of the Democratic National Convention included a music video featuring a Stephen Stills and Billy Porter rehash of the Buffalo Springfield classic, “For What It’s Worth” (“Stop, Hey, What’s What Sound?”). The effect — meant to conjure the “mystic chords of memory” from a time when the country was bitterly divided — instead offered comic relief and the sense that Biden’s going down.
