(LifeSiteNews) – On this week’s episode of The Bishop Strickland Show, Bishop Joseph Strickland argued that while woke ideology would have its day, it has now overplayed its hand.

Commenting on the denunciations baseball players are making of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ decision to honor the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, His Excellency compared the current influence that wokeism has on the culture. While the movement may have its day, it has overplayed its hand, much like the wickedness that caused the fall of the Roman Empire.

“[Woke ideology] will not stand,” Bp. Strickland declared. “It has its day. But [evil people] tend to overplay their hand, just like every evil empire through human history, whether it was before Christ or after Christ.”

Speaking about the woke themselves, Strickland noted that “they don’t know history. They’re devoid of any understanding of how civilization has developed. And they’re pushing an agenda that is evil, disconnected from the word of God, slanderous and blasphemous of Jesus Christ Himself.” …
