Ed Broom, OMV, Catholic Exchange - One of the concrete manifestations of growing in good will towards God is by writing out, in a clear and practical way, a “Plan of Life.” The aim is to improve our lives and make them more pleasing to God. So let us make the Psalmist’s prayer our own: “O Lord give success to the work of our hands.”... A Plan of Life ought to bring order to whatever is disordered in our lives. Due to sin, our lives are marked by upheaval, confusion, and disorder. Opposing this is the Holy Spirit, who brings about good order. From this order comes peace of heart, mind, and soul. The Augustinian definition of peace is “tranquility of order.”

Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God."  Luke 1:35. The Solemnity of Mary, Holy Mother of God is a liturgical celebration observed on January 1st which falls exactly one week after Christmas, the end of the octave of Christmas... The Blessed Virgin Mary is honored as the Mother of God because she conceived and gave birth to Christ, who is the incarnation of God the Son, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity.
