Fr. Thomas G. Weinandy, OFM, Cap., The Catholic Thing - After his resurrection, Jesus appeared to various people on a number of occasions. He appears to Mary Magdalene, Peter, and the Apostles. Paul enumerates the appearances of which he is aware: He first appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to the apostles. Last of all, as one untimely born, he appeared also to me. (1 Corinthians 15:5-8)
