Fr. Shenan J. Boquet: Restoring the Natural Definition of Marriage

By Fr. Shenan J. Boquet, Human Life International - This Thursday, March 19, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary and patron of the Universal Church... Of all the saints, Joseph stands as the model of faithful fatherhood: the man whom God entrusted with the protection of the Holy Family, and who fulfilled that mission with quiet, unwavering devotion. In him we see what marriage and fatherhood are meant to be, i.e. a sacrificial gift of self, ordered toward the good of spouse and children, rooted in obedience to God’s plan.

Today’s Saint: St. Patrick, March 17

Catholic Apostolate Center - Patron Saint of Ireland - St. Patrick was a 5th century missionary to the people of Ireland. According to his autobiography, St. Patrick was captured and sold as a slave in Ireland when he was 16. There, he was forced to work as a shepherd for 6 years until he escaped and returned to his family. Later in his life, he became a priest and heard the Lord’s call to return to Ireland and spread the Gospel. There are many stories about St. Patrick’s life, and while their historicity is uncertain, they all show St. Patrick as a fervent missionary for the Irish people.

Why Don’t Democrats Celebrate America? by Bradley A. Thayer

By Bradley A. Thayer, Chronicles - Time and again, the Democratic Party’s elites show through their actions, policies, and statements that they are united in opposition to traditional American life, values, and culture... That’s nothing new: it’s been this way for a generation. But it’s worsening. Today, it’s more brazen and openly revolutionary. We all saw a clear example of this at the recent State of the Union Address... “It does not make sense to me,” President Trump said about it during remarks to the Republican Members Conference at Doral, Florida, on March 9. Trump noted that he is perplexed by the Democrats’ behavior.

Network Evening News Spends Only 8 Percent of DHS Shutdown Coverage Blaming Democrats, by Curtis Houck

By Curtis Houck, Media Research Center - Since February 14, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been largely shut down after funding lapsed because Democrats demanded changes to President Trump’s deportation policies, leaving government workers such as TSA agents to work without pay and turn to food banks... A Media Research Center study found that, since the start of the DHS shutdown, only 8% – or 125 seconds – of the 26 minutes and 22 seconds on the shutdown across the flagship evening newscasts of ABC, CBS, and NBC have brought up the fact that the long lines at airports are because of the left’s obstructionism.
