By Dave Armstrong, National Catholic Register - Many Church Fathers referred to the Blessed Virgin Mary as the New Eve or Second Eve, meaning that she said Yes to God and obeyed him at the Annunciation, as opposed to Eve disobeying, leading to the fall of mankind. This was an analogy to St. Paul’s statement: “As in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22, RSV; cf. 15:45). St. John Henry Cardinal Newman alluded to the development of this notion ....

I think that is what most of us mean when we talk about that era... At the close of business on Thursday March 12, 2020 Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont issued “Executive Order #7,” forbidding gatherings of 250 or more people. My organization, Family Institute of Connecticut, huddled with the Connecticut Catholic Conference and the March for Life all the next day and finally, on Friday the 13th, we sent out simultaneous messages cancelling what would have been the first Connecticut March for Life.

Senate Bill Would Ban Federal Funding For Research Using Aborted Babies, by Justine Brooke Murray

By Justine Brooke Murray, MRC TV - Selling the body parts of murdered babies for scientific experiments sounds like something out of a horror movie… or a joint run by Dr. Joseph Mengele... But in 2025, it’s a taxpayer funded practice!... Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS) has just re-introduced a bill to finally end it for good. If passed, the Protecting Life and Integrity in Research Act (S.987) will ban the federal government from “conducting, funding, approving, or otherwise supporting any research involving human fetal tissue that is obtained pursuant to an induced abortion, and to prohibit the solicitation or knowing acquisition, receipt, or acceptance of a donation of such tissue.”

Trump Prevails Over US Bishops In Court Battle Over Refugee Money, by Stephen Dinan

By Stephen Dinan, Washington Times, (Complicit Clergy) - In February 2022, I, Rep. Lance Gooden (R-TX), wrote a letter to Catholic Charities USA, one of the leading NGOs involved in settling illegal aliens, raising concern that the Biden administration was “deputizing NGOs to harbor, transport, and encourage unauthorized aliens to resettle throughout the United States.”... All of these activities are illegal. The letter requested a full accounting of Catholic Charities’s activities in this matter and disclosure of how much money the NGO had received from federal, state, and local governments to carry out its role in resettling illegal aliens. Needless to say, no meaningful response to these questions was ever received.
