Scalia, The Catholic Thing - “Dismiss the crowd so that they can go to the surrounding villages and farms and find lodging and provisions; for we are in a deserted place here.” The Apostles have a point. The crowds had followed Jesus out into the country, away from the towns and villages. Ironically, it was Jesus Himself who had decided to go with His Apostles to a deserted place to escape the crowds and the busyness of the towns. (Cf. Mark 6:31) But the crowds followed and now found themselves in need of food.

By Hayden Cunningham, Human Events - A suicide bomber opened fire and detonated a suicide vest inside a Greek Orthodox church near Damascus on Sunday, killing at least 20 people and injuring 52 others... The attack occurred in the town of Dweila, just outside the capital, inside the Mar Elias Church, according to Syrian state media. Local reports indicated that children were among the dead and wounded.

By Garrett D. Johnson, Crisis Magazine - Many years ago, I decided to attend daily Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. Each morning on my way to Mass, I would drive past a house that flew the flag representing pride in all the different sexual identities that fell under the LGBTQ (this was pre-IA+ times) banner. I didn’t take much notice of it at the time, as these flags were all over the city. But, one day, I noticed the flag was becoming tattered, and I surprisingly felt a sense of joy.

By James Mortensen, MRC TV - In an attempt to thwart scrutiny by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Chicago, City Clerk Anna Valencia (IL-D) removed the illegal alien “sanctuary” city’s online application portal for its CityKey ID program after receiving a subpoena from the agency... ICE had subpoenaed records of the now-suspended program, which provides identification cards to all residents within the city – including illegal aliens. As noted by the Chicago Tribune, when the CityKey program was first introduced in 2017, it was intended to skirt public records laws by only processing applications in person. ...
