Kennedy Says FDA Conducting “Real-World” Review of Abortion Drug That Kills and Injures Women, by Steven Ertelt

By Steven Ertelt, LifeNews - Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy has sent a letter to the governors of 22 states, who are worried about the dangers of the abortion drug mifepristone, telling them he has opened a “real-world” review of it. The high-level study of the drug was initially announced earlier in the week... The abortion pill has killed dozens of women and injured tens of thousands more – and of course it has killed millions of babies... Kennedy and FDA Commissioner Marty Makary wrote to 22 Republican attorneys general informing them of the review, which they said will examine “real-world outcomes and evidence, relating to the safety and efficacy of the drug.”

Planned Parenthood Could Owe $1.8 Billion in Massive Medicaid Fraud Case, by John Stonestreet

By John Stonestreet , LifeNews - A whistleblower lawsuit against Planned Parenthood under the federal False Claims Act could force the nation’s largest abortion business to repay as much as $1.8 billion in fraudulent Medicaid claims... The lawsuit, filed in 2021 by an anonymous whistleblower identified only as “Doe,” accuses Planned Parenthood of continuing to bill Medicaid for services in Texas and Louisiana even after those states revoked the abortion organization’s eligibility in 2015. The revocations followed undercover videos released by pro-life activist David Daleiden that showed Planned Parenthood altering abortion procedures to harvest and sell aborted baby parts.

Silent Shepherds, Forsaken Lambs, by Anne Hendershott

By Anne Hendershott, Crisis Magazine - Cardinal Cupich must know—as all faithful Catholics have known for decades—that Sen. Durbin could be counted on for voting in favor of the most radical abortion policies. Most recently, on January 22, 2025, Durbin voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act which would require medical intervention for infants who survive an attempted abortion. Later in the year, Durbin voted against defunding Planned Parenthood. The previous July, Durbin voted in favor of the Reproductive Freedom for Women Act. And two years earlier, Durbin supported late-term abortion by voting against the Kennedy Amendment 3758 which would have banned abortion after 20 weeks.

Bishop Paprocki on Cardinal Cupich, Durbin Showdown: It’s Not Against Unity to Speak Truth, by Gretchen R. Crowe

By Gretchen R. Crowe, Our Sunday Visitor - OSV News: You issued a formal fraternal correction earlier this week to Cardinal Cupich over the decision to give Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois a “Lifetime Achievement Award.” What in your mind is the best outcome at this point?... Bishop Thomas J. Paprocki: I believe the best outcome at this point would be that Cardinal Cupich and the Archdiocese of Chicago would rescind giving their life achievement award to Senator Durbin... I think that it’s clear that he’s had a very strong, consistent pro-abortion policy as a United States senator, and despite whatever other good things he’s done, we talk about the consistent ethic of life.
