After the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the Biden administration told Veterans Affairs doctors that they could perform abortions, even though federal law prohibits taxpayers from funding abortion... In 2022, the DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel advised that federal law authorizes the Department of Veterans Affairs and its employees to provide abortion services.

There is no single point during pregnancy when a human being suddenly becomes a person worthy of those rights. There is no magic in the birth canal that transforms a “fetus” into a “baby” deserving of legal protection... The only qualification for human rights should be humanity. Here’s hoping that this time around, it doesn’t take another bloody war for the United States to acknowledge that.

The arrested is being called a violation of First Amendment rights of pro-life Americans to protest abortion or help women find alternatives... Anastasia Rogers, an organizer with the pro-life group Survivors San Francisco, was handcuffed and taken into custody Thursday after a security guard at the abortion giant alleged “threatening language” in an Instagram post she made about her sidewalk outreach, Pro-Life San Francisco said in a statement.
