By Anne Hendershott, Catholic World Report - Earlier this month, Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed new anti-abortion legislation to end the availability of the “abortion pill” in his state. Acknowledging that more than 19,000 abortion pills are shipped into Texas each year—with many of them used to circumvent the state’s heartbeat law and other protections—the Governor signed HB-7, a bill known as the “Woman and Child Protection Act.”

They argued that a state amendment passed last fall in which abortion was enshrined as a constitutional “right” means that there should be no restrictions on abortion at all... The lawsuit targeted a number of laws, including those that prohibit abortion due to the preborn child having genetic anomalies, informed consent laws requiring a 24-hour waiting period and an ultrasound prior to the abortion, and laws prohibiting mail-order abortion pills. ...

By Steven Ertelt, LifeNews - Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy has sent a letter to the governors of 22 states, who are worried about the dangers of the abortion drug mifepristone, telling them he has opened a “real-world” review of it. The high-level study of the drug was initially announced earlier in the week... The abortion pill has killed dozens of women and injured tens of thousands more – and of course it has killed millions of babies... Kennedy and FDA Commissioner Marty Makary wrote to 22 Republican attorneys general informing them of the review, which they said will examine “real-world outcomes and evidence, relating to the safety and efficacy of the drug.”

By John Stonestreet , LifeNews - A whistleblower lawsuit against Planned Parenthood under the federal False Claims Act could force the nation’s largest abortion business to repay as much as $1.8 billion in fraudulent Medicaid claims... The lawsuit, filed in 2021 by an anonymous whistleblower identified only as “Doe,” accuses Planned Parenthood of continuing to bill Medicaid for services in Texas and Louisiana even after those states revoked the abortion organization’s eligibility in 2015. The revocations followed undercover videos released by pro-life activist David Daleiden that showed Planned Parenthood altering abortion procedures to harvest and sell aborted baby parts.
