Silent Shepherds, Forsaken Lambs, by Anne Hendershott

By Anne Hendershott, Crisis Magazine - Cardinal Cupich must know—as all faithful Catholics have known for decades—that Sen. Durbin could be counted on for voting in favor of the most radical abortion policies. Most recently, on January 22, 2025, Durbin voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act which would require medical intervention for infants who survive an attempted abortion. Later in the year, Durbin voted against defunding Planned Parenthood. The previous July, Durbin voted in favor of the Reproductive Freedom for Women Act. By Bridget Sielicki, Live Action - Frausto tearfully described finding the helpless infant and starting chest compressions until help arrived... "I ran out here with no shoes... And I just started doing compressions on the baby's chest just due to the fact that she looked like she was losing life. And we called EMS, firefighters, the cops, and they arrived. They took her..." she said, speculating that the baby girl looked as if she had been born that same day... "You know, there's people out here that literally can't have kids that wish they could, and you're dumping kids in the trash can," Fausto said, appalled. "I mean... it's not illegal to take your child to a fire station and drop them off. It's not. ....

And Bishop Olson Makes 7: Urges Cardinal Cupich To Withdraw Durbin Invitation

Source: X by Staff - Today Bishop Michael Olson, Bishop of Fort Worth, became the publicly called on Cardinal Cupich to cancel his plan to award Senator Dick Durbin a lifetime achievement award with a post on X: "At every Mass we ask the Lord Jesus for the gifts of peace and unity in his Church, and at this time of strife and division, Cardinal Cupich could promote peace and unity by withdrawing the invitation to Senator Durbin to receive an award and instead use the event to highlight - "
