Senate Bill Would Ban Federal Funding For Research Using Aborted Babies, by Justine Brooke Murray

By Justine Brooke Murray, MRC TV - Selling the body parts of murdered babies for scientific experiments sounds like something out of a horror movie… or a joint run by Dr. Joseph Mengele... But in 2025, it’s a taxpayer funded practice!... Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS) has just re-introduced a bill to finally end it for good. If passed, the Protecting Life and Integrity in Research Act (S.987) will ban the federal government from “conducting, funding, approving, or otherwise supporting any research involving human fetal tissue that is obtained pursuant to an induced abortion, and to prohibit the solicitation or knowing acquisition, receipt, or acceptance of a donation of such tissue.”

By Richard Clements, Crisis Magazine - Much has been written about the global fertility crisis, but almost all of the solutions to this crisis that have been proposed thus far are unlikely to be effective. First, a few statistics to summarize the situation: Between 1950 and 2021, the global total fertility rate (TFR, defined as the number of children that women would bear across their lifetime if their rate of childbearing at each age matches today’s rates) fell by more than half, from 4.84 to 2.23. Replacement level is generally estimated to be a TFR of 2.1.

Colleges Dispense ‘Morning-After’ Pills in Vending Machines, by Kathy Schiffer

By Kathy Schiffer, National Catholic Register - The University of Connecticut has just installed a “Plan B” vending machine in the basement of the Student Union “in an effort to expand access to contraception.” Plan B is a recent development, a form of emergency contraception that is used within 72 hours after having unprotected sex. The University’s Student Health and Wellness Division explains Plan B contraception’s use and effectiveness on its website, claiming, in part, that Plan B is safe and effective, and that it reduces the risk of pregnancy by 89%.
