He has gotten to know Donald Trump through their work together, in their focused, mutual goal of exposing corruption and cutting wasteful government programs from federal agencies. “The president has been so unfairly attacked in the media,” Musk said. “It’s really outrageous. At this point, I’ve spent a lot of time with the president, and not once have I seen him do something that was mean or cruel or wrong. Not once.”

By Father David Nix, Padre Peregrino Hermitage Blog - In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is defined by Yale Medicine as “a procedure that involves retrieving a woman’s eggs and a man’s sperm sample and combining the two in a laboratory dish.” Most Catholics in the pro-life movement are against IVF because “IVF replaces the marital act with a laboratory act and that an affront to the dignity of a child who is conceived.”... While that is true, the main reason we should be against IVF is not a violation of the 6th Commandment, but rather a violation of the 5th Commandment: IVF eradicates many embryos (new individuals) to yield only a few living children.

Burbidge of the Diocese of Arlington, Virginia, issued a pastoral letter called “The Christian Family, In Vitro Fertilization and Heroic Witness to True Love.” In his letter, Bishop Burbidge seeks to guide people of good will and the faithful to better understand the respect that is owed to the human person by addressing the inherent dangers and immorality of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and the perennial teaching of the Catholic Church regarding marriage, procreation, and family life.

By Peter Smith, Associate Press - Catholic bishops sued the Trump administration on Tuesday over its abrupt halt to funding of refugee resettlement, calling the action unlawful and harmful to newly arrived refugees and to the nation’s largest private resettlement program... The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) says the administration, by withholding millions even for reimbursements of costs incurred before the sudden cut-off of funding, violates various laws as well as the constitutional provision giving the power of the purse to Congress, which already approved the funding.
