Rorate Caeli: Is Archbishop of San Antonio in Need of a Mental Health Checkup?

Rorate Caeli,  by Staff, (Complicit Clergy) - It is the only reasonable explanation for (Abp. Gustavo García-Siller's) horrid tweet in reference to the terrorist Islamist attack that killed 15 in the French Quarter of New Orleans in the first hours of New Year’s Day. He essentially blamed Trump, and his supporters, without mentioning their names: "The killing today is the result of words and actions that leaders have demonstrated in our recent history . We should not blame others. We need to take responsibility. We need civil discourse and lots of humility and charity." — Archbishop Gustavo (@ABishopGustavo) January 2, 2025

The prelate then exclaimed, “Thanks be to God that trump [sic] is not God. Thanks be God for ever!”

A major theme of Johnson’s speech was his plan to institute an “America First Agenda,” which he invoked throughout his address.

Is Vivek Right About America? by Colin Redemer

By Colin Redemer, First Things - On the second day of Christmas, Vivek Ramaswamy gave to America a diagnosis: We have a culture problem. “Our American culture has venerated mediocrity over excellence for way too long,” Ramaswamy wrote on X. We need “More math tutoring, fewer sleepovers. More weekend science competitions, fewer Saturday morning cartoons. More books, less TV. More creating, less ‘chillin.' ... Ramaswamy, who will lead the new DOGE alongside Elon Musk, was also making a point about the—already roiling—debate over H-1B visas. If Americans don’t revere hard work enough, then immigrants do.
