What’s Missing From Dilexi Te? by Phil Lawler

By Phil Lawler, Catholic Culture - There are, to be sure, passages in the document that will grate on the raw sensibilities of faithful Catholics who have felt the lash of Vatican rhetoric over the course of the past decade. Particularly on the issue of immigration—which American secular reporters quickly chose for their headline stories, Dilexi Te misses some crucial distinctions... World Renewal Through the United Nations: Unlikely. by Dr. Jeff Mirus

By Jeffrey Mirus, Catholic Culture - the Christian understanding of the human person has long since disappeared from the dominant cultures of our world today. The result is that no significant political, economic, or social barriers any longer stand in the way of the long series of cultural shifts in favor of ever-deeper human depravities—evil done in the name of good—which is both the ancient and the modern hallmark of diabolical influence. ...

Fr. David Nix: Dilexi Te: Treating the Poor As Slaves

By Fr. David Nix, Complicit Clergy, (Padre Peregrino) - The author (of " Dilexi Te") then misappropriates the Holy Family to argue for open-borders. Clearly, the Bible and the Catholic Church have always opposed chaos on national borders, as the true God is a God of order. But manipulating the Holy Family’s desperate flight to Egypt is also a trick of the leftists so predictable that I wrote against it even months before Dilexi Te was released. ...

TOTALLY WOKE: Diocese of Lexington Launches Net-Zero Plan Inspired by Laudato Si’ (and the United Nations)

By Tessa Gervasini, National Catholic Register, (Complicit Clergy) - The Diocese of Lexington has developed an ambitious plan to make all of its buildings net-zero by 2030 because, it noted, as Scripture says: “The earth and all in it belongs to God.” The plan includes all buildings of the 59 parishes in the diocese, spanning over 50 counties in central and eastern Kentucky... The plan is a direct response to Pope Francis’ 2015 encyclical Laudato Si’  (“On Care for Our Common Home”), which called on the global Catholic Church to engage in dialogue about the future of the planet. Within the writings, Pope Francis urged the Church to acknowledge environmental challenges.
