Virginia, New Jersey, New York City—these are the places they call home, and they expect too much of the citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah. Which I only feel comfortable saying because I’m from California, a modern-day Capernaum... Certainly, the temptation to get swept up in the punishment about to be exacted on these places is strong. In New York City, Democrat Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s policies will destroy what’s left of the city’s independent working class.

According to several media outlets, the Ugandan-born Mamdani is projected to defeat former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa in the race to lead one of America’s most populous cities... As of publication, preliminary results show Mamdani winning 50.4 percent of the electorate with 90 percent of votes tabulated. Meanwhile, Cuomo and Sliwa are projected to receive 41.6 percent and 7.1 percent of the vote ...

It got lavished with praise by Hollywood, and doubtless some unhinged souls were triggered by it to engage in future violence... A small consolation is that the movie had few viewers and will lose tens of millions of dollars. So did most of the other politicized, weird, or out-of-touch films released this year.
