St. Augustine in “City of God” on the compatibility of both justice and mercy (stated) the two are not contradictory... (said) in some cases, DHS has to deal with “severe criminals,” and in all cases, “illegal immigration is itself illegal.”... “We have to take into account that laws were broken,” Madden said. He said authorities do ensure the “human dignity” of migrants is protected.

Pope Leo XIV on Nov. 18 asked Americans to listen to U.S. bishops’ message opposing “the indiscriminate mass deportation of people” and urged humane treatment of migrants.

So they are made to wait for long periods before they could be heard in courts. That means up to five to ten years of enjoying unearned benefits (freebies) paid for by taxpayer money, while they waited their court dates. The Biden administration even gave them free cellphones to set up their own hearings, which they did up to 10 years or longer. The longer the waiting period, the more freebies they got.

Pollard confirmed the meeting in an interview with the Times after the outlet learned of it from three anonymous U.S. officials. He reportedly said he initiated the conversation to thank Huckabee for publicly supporting his release.
