By John Zmirak, The Stream - If you have a worldview that’s 1) internally incoherent, 2) hysterically moralistic, and 3) grounded in nothing but the current group preferences of the powerful, what can you do to enforce it on the masses? You can’t convince them rationally, so that’s off the table. You can try gaslighting them and manipulating their sentiments. That works pretty well sometimes, provided you dominate the means of communication. But pesky dissidents wielding stupid facts and tedious arguments will often burst your balloon.
