By Eduardo Berdejo, CNA - The International Association of Exorcists has expressed concern over several erroneous practices, including those carried out by some priests, which confuse the faithful who seek help when possibly facing extraordinary actions of the devil... The association, which has some 900 exorcist members worldwide, issued its warning in a Jan. 6 article on the organization’s website in order to “offer necessary clarifications to be able to act well in providing divine mercy through the ministry of exorcism.”

McCarthy, American Spectator - The Catholic Church has very clear teachings on immigration and border control, but Cupich, McElroy, and their episcopal brethren are seemingly content to ignore and even denigrate these teachings. Why? Because the USCCB profits from the ongoing immigration crisis. Over the past decade, the USCCB and groups like Catholic Charities have collected over $2 billion from the U.S. government for migrant and refugee “services.” Lawsuits have alleged that these “services” include shuttling illegal immigrants released by Border Patrol further into the U.S. and providing them with pre-paid debit cards, phones, and food and housing vouchers. ....

There is, first, the politics category. That is, politics seems to be the sole motivation for the appointment. According to the Pillar, Pope Francis initially resisted appointing McElroy but was persuaded to do so by Cardinal Cupich’s entirely political reasons for wanting McElroy in Washington.

The bishop entrusts men of his diocese to a seminary to help [each] develop and grow into a Catholic man — and a priest, if that is what God has called him to. The most important relationship in seminary is his relationship with God, and all other relationships are at the service of that relationship.”
