In Virginia, a Marian Shrine Reaches Back Through 1,000 Years of Christian History, by Daniel Payne

By Daniel Payne, CNA - “When you go on pilgrimage, hearts need to change. Something needs to change for a pilgrimage to be fruitful.”... That’s the message Sister Camilla Oberding, COLW, has for those who travel to the Marian Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham in eastern England... Sister Camilla was joined by two of her fellow sisters of the Community of Our Lady of Walsingham in Williamsburg, Virginia, on Sept. 24, with the nuns speaking at the U.S. National Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham located in Virginia’s colonial-era capital city. Sister Camilla herself is the foundress of the English community.

Father Raymond J. de Souza: What Is a Martyr? And Is Charlie Kirk One?

By Father Raymond J. de Souza, National Catholic Register - The classic definition of a martyr is one who is violently killed in hatred of the faith (odium fidei) and willingly accepts that death instead of infidelity. Martyrdom thus includes both the intention of the killer, as well as the disposition of the one killed. For example, assassinated American presidents are not considered religious martyrs, as hatred of the faith was not the motivating factor for their killers... A critical factor in considering Kirk’s case would be the motivation of his killer. While there has been some reporting on that to date, it is still not entirely known with certainty.

And he sought to see him.
