That was the entire preparation. I was disappointed, but not surprised. In the post-COVID era this has become common. If we are honest, it was common before COVID. My husband and I were handed a poorly written book and told we needed to read through it. That was our Baptism preparation course 13 years ago.

What Happens in France …. Fr. Matthieu Raffray Being Investigated for Speaking Truth, by Marisa Cantu

Father Matthieu Raffray from France released a video on Instagram last month. In the video, he encourages watchers to fight against their weaknesses and sinful inclinations. He uses homosexuality as an example among others, saying that same-sex attraction is a weakness that should be fought against, just as with any other sin. He encouraged watchers to not give in to the devil’s lie that the fight against temptation – whatever that temptation may be – is “too hard.”
