On January 24, 2025, President Trump reinstated the “Mexico City Policy,” which ended use of taxpayer money for organizations that promote, fund, or conduct abortions. Days later, Pres. Trump issued a temporary freeze on funds dispersed through USAID... Under Biden’s administration, USAID budgeted $607.5 million during the 2022 Fiscal Year alone for its bilateral family planning and reproductive health program. That money went to expanding and funding abortion programs and organizations. Third world countries in Africa were especially targeted for abortion expansion.
