By Luiz Sérgio Solimeo, Tradition, Family, Property - When man is facing a crisis, his common tendency is to seek an easy, effective and complete solution. Easy solutions often come to mind without trying to understand in depth the real characteristics of the crisis and its possible causes... Thus, instead of solving crises, such solutions only aggravate them by adding new problems that are sometimes more difficult to solve than the previous ones... Our Lord Jesus Christ allows Holy Church to go through crises sometimes so intense that “unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened.” (Matt. 24:22).
