By Fr. Nnamdi Moneme, OMV, Catholic Exchange - In the words of Christian writer George MacDonald, “God is easy to please, but hard to satisfy.”... I was reminded of this quote when reflecting on the widow in Mk 12:38-44. Jesus watched casually as all the rich worshippers gave large amounts from their surplus wealth. He instantly became excited when the widow dropped in her two coins. He did not want His disciples to miss out on her unique giving: Amen, I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the other contributors to the treasury. For they have all contributed from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has contributed all she had, her whole livelihood.
