Brought before the proconsul Dion, Maximilian refused enlistment in the Roman army saying, “I cannot serve, I cannot do evil. I am a Christian.”... Dion replied: “You must serve or die.”... “I will never serve. You can cut off my head, but I will not be a soldier of this world, for I am a soldier of Christ. My army is the army of God, and I cannot fight for this world. I tell you I am a Christian.”

This was an analogy to St. Paul’s statement: “As in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22, RSV; cf. 15:45). I think that is what most of us mean when we talk about that era... At the close of business on Thursday March 12, 2020 Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont issued “Executive Order #7,” forbidding gatherings of 250 or more people. My organization, Family Institute of Connecticut, huddled with the Connecticut Catholic Conference and the March for Life all the next day and finally, on Friday the 13th, we sent out simultaneous messages cancelling what would have been the first Connecticut March for Life.

Senate Bill Would Ban Federal Funding For Research Using Aborted Babies, by Justine Brooke Murray

By Justine Brooke Murray, MRC TV - Selling the body parts of murdered babies for scientific experiments sounds like something out of a horror movie… or a joint run by Dr. Joseph Mengele... But in 2025, it’s a taxpayer funded practice!... Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS) has just re-introduced a bill to finally end it for good. If passed, the Protecting Life and Integrity in Research Act (S.987) will ban the federal government from “conducting, funding, approving, or otherwise supporting any research involving human fetal tissue that is obtained pursuant to an induced abortion, and to prohibit the solicitation or knowing acquisition, receipt, or acceptance of a donation of such tissue.”
