The Litany of Humility: A Spiritual MRI for the Soul, by Rob Sexton

By Rob Sexton, Catholic Exchange - Like many of Christ’s words, the Litany of Humility is hard. Many of us could save a good deal of time in therapy or spiritual direction just by reading it, not even praying it with intention... It is much more than a pious practice or a “good idea” recommended by countless saints. The Litany of Humility acts as a kind of spiritual MRI, diagnosing the areas of your life where pride and its many children are growing or hold sway. At the Vatican, Too, Personnel Is Policy, by Phil Lawler

By Phil Lawler, Catholic Culture - Summers are usually quiet around the Vatican. Most officials of the Roman Curia—like most other residents of Rome—leave the city for cooler vacation spots, leaving important policy decisions until the fall. This year, with a new Pontiff settling into his work, and the Catholic world anxiously waiting for indications of his plans, things seem even quieter than usual... Our Lady of Fatima, Ideology, and the Vatican’s Homosexual Crisis, by Carrie Gress, Ph.D.

By Carrie Gress, Ph.D., Catholic World Report - In 1917, during one of Our Lady’s apparitions at Fatima, the three shepherd children were given a vision of Hell. Our Lady warned that if people didn’t stop offending God then another war would come. In reparation, Our Lady asked “for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of reparation on the First Saturdays.” She added, “If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church.”
