By R.J. Snell, The Catholic Thing - Elon Musk recently promised to improve his version of an AI chatbot, nicknamed Grok. The fix did not go well, to put it mildly. In one description, Grok was intentionally designed to be “an ‘anti-woke’ competitor to OpenAI’s ChatGPT.” But Grok seemed indistinguishable from its competitors. The fix, as was widely noted in recent days, whatever else it was, certainly was “anti-woke,” with Grok turning into a holocaust denier, casting aspersions against Jews, threatening the Turkish president, and Grok giving itself the new nickname of “MechaHitler.”

By Mary Margaret Olohan, DailyWire - Asked about a Catholic bishop in California who told illegal immigrants they no longer have to go to Sunday mass, White House Border Czar Tom Homan did not mince words... “This is BS” (Homan responded) to news that San Bernardino Bishop Alberto Rojas issued a decree on July 8 dispensing those in his diocese from attending Mass “due to potential immigration enforcement actions by civil authorities” if they have “genuine fear of immigration enforcement actions.” His dispensation is in effect until “such time as this decree is revoked or amended.”
