Fr. Jeffrey Kirby: Trinity Sunday: The Blessed Trinity Reveals Who God Is — and Who We Are

Fr. Jeffrey Kirby, National Catholic Register - This Sunday throughout the universal Church, particular adoration is given to the Most Holy Trinity. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches us: “The mystery of the Most Holy Trinity is the central mystery of Christian faith and life. It is the mystery of God in himself. Pope Leo Addresses Young People, Faithful at Chicago’s Rate Field, by McKenna Snow

By McKenna Snow, Catholic Vote - Pope Leo XIV spoke about unity, hope, and community in his historic June 14 video address to the young people of the Church and to those gathered at White Sox Rate Field for the Archdiocese of Chicago’s event celebrating the first American pontiff... The event included Mass celebrated by Cardinal Blase Cupich, music, testimonies, and the special message from Pope Leo, who is a native of Chicago. In his address, the Pope encouraged the faithful and young people in particular to be beacons of hope to the world and, having noted how prevalent isolation and loneliness can be in the world, to continue coming together in community.

Boquet, Human Life International - Although Pope Leo XIV looked slightly nervous when he first walked out on the Loggia after his election, he seems to have made the transition to pontiff with remarkable grace. As John Pinheiro notes in this analysis of Pope Leo’s first few weeks as pope, the Holy Father seems to be carefully charting a course as a “unifying” figure. Even his choice of name suggests this, as his predecessor, Pope Leo XIII is a remarkably popular pope among both liberals (for his emphasis on social justice) and conservatives (for his doctrinal orthodoxy, and resuscitation of Thomism).
