The Catholic Herald: We Should Look for Ways to Treat Coma Patients – Not Reasons to Kill Them

The Catholic Herald - From a Catholic morality point of view euthanasia is always wrong and all patients in coma, of any duration, must be nursed and cared for and that giving of fluid and nutrition are non-negotiable. The Church should recognise the specific vulnerability of patients in coma and should support the setting up of long term support and rehabilitation units for patient with prolonged brain injury to ensure they are cared for and nurtured.

That “earned pathway to citizenship” is presumably designed to allow the nation’s 11 to 22 million illegal aliens to apply for green cards, and eventually, secure naturalized American citizenship ....

Results of Medical Exam Builds Case for ‘Incorrupt’ Body of Sister Wilhelmina, Says Bishop, by Tyler Arnold

By Tyler Arnold, CNA - The results of a medical examination of the body of Sister Wilhelmina Lancaster, OSB, have confirmed that there were no signs of decomposition when her body was exhumed last year, according to a statement from Bishop James Johnston of the Missouri Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph.... Johnston added that there is no official Catholic Church protocol for determining whether a body is incorrupt and noted that “incorruptibility is not considered to be an indication of sainthood.” At this time, he said, there are no plans in the diocese to initiate a cause for sainthood.
