A recently released report from the Pew Research Center found that, from 2010 to 2020, Islam was the fastest-growing religion in the world, increasing by 347 million adherents over the decade... While the report noted that Christianity remains the largest religion in the world, its share has decreased by 1.8% to a total of 2.3 billion people, or roughly 29% of the world’s population.

Scalia, The Catholic Thing - “Dismiss the crowd so that they can go to the surrounding villages and farms and find lodging and provisions; for we are in a deserted place here.” The Apostles have a point. The crowds had followed Jesus out into the country, away from the towns and villages. Ironically, it was Jesus Himself who had decided to go with His Apostles to a deserted place to escape the crowds and the busyness of the towns. (Cf. Mark 6:31) But the crowds followed and now found themselves in need of food.

By Hayden Cunningham, Human Events - A suicide bomber opened fire and detonated a suicide vest inside a Greek Orthodox church near Damascus on Sunday, killing at least 20 people and injuring 52 others... The attack occurred in the town of Dweila, just outside the capital, inside the Mar Elias Church, according to Syrian state media. Local reports indicated that children were among the dead and wounded.
