How can we be sure that the person we’re dating is someone with whom we will be able to persevere throughout a lifetime? And how important is that whole perseverance thing?... Well, for a Catholic—indeed for any Christian—it’s extremely important. Jesus said, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her” (Mk. 10:11).
