But as Germany faces an escalating migration crisis, it risks losing credibility due to a recent spat over a hardline migration bill... “Many cities and communities can no longer adequately accommodate and care for these people. Successful integration is very difficult, sometimes hardly possible. The situation is tense and very difficult. Acceptance of the admission of further refugees is falling drastically. We have to significantly reduce the number of refugees.” (said Friedrich Merz, leader of the CDU)
